Volunteering

The school year is underway and the staff of Pakenham Public School is offering opportunities to get involved. When parents participate in their child's school experience, everyone benefits. Whether you are available once a week or once in a while, there are dozens of useful jobs to do in the school. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at our school and assisting staff and students, please contact the school at 613-624-5438 and inform us of the areas where you feel that you could be of assistance.

To complete an application, please contact the school office, as you must bring a letter from the school with you to the OPP office.

If you intend to volunteer or participate in field trips please ensure you complete a Criminal Reference Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening) application. If you already have one on file at the school you will need to sign an offence declaration (new one every year).

Please note it is advisable to apply for this check early in the school year - process time at the OPP can take up to two to three weeks. If you do not have a check on file at the time of event you will not be able to volunteer.
